QRISK®2 is a new cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk score which is designed to identify people at high risk of  a stroke or cardiac event such as a heart attack.  The QRISK®2 score estimates the risk of a person developing CVD over the next 10 years.

QRISK®2 algorithm has been specifically developed by doctors and academics.

What does it involve?
The Q-risk screening usually takes about 30 minutes and includes the following checks:
  • Total Cholesterol
  • Diabetes screening
  • Blood Pressure
  • BMI – What is BMI?

 Body mass index is a number calculated from your height and weight.It is the weight in kilograms divided by the height in metres squared.Conventionally a person is considered to be obese if they have a body mass index over 30 kg/m2.

When do I get my results?

At the end of all the tests one of our specially trained members of staff will key all your results into the Qrisk calculator to determine your risk of CVD and will explain your results to you.
