We will take passport photos of babies at any time that suits you. We are experienced in capturing the photo that meets the requirements for the various passports. Please, do not hesitate to bring in your baby and we will take care of everything from there.
Although we try our best and take as many shots as necessary to achive results, occasionally it just doesn’t happen on the day (if the child is asleep for example).
So, to save you the hassle of coming into town with your baby, we have outlined how you can take your own passport photos. You can upload them to us and we will print them out for you.
Taking The Photo
Set your camera to its highest resolution. Use a well-lit area. e.g. Near a window. Lie your baby on a clean white surface. e.g. A white sheet. Position the camera roughly four feet above the baby and centre their face on the screen with plenty of space surrounding them. Take as many photos as you need to to fit the passport requirements. Eyes Open. Looking at the camera. Head Straight. Both Ears Visible
TIP: To help young babies look where you want them to, you can download some Infant Stimulant Cards from Brillbaby.com – As they say on their website:
Research has shown that the secret to infant visual stimulation lies in high-contrast colours. The development of a newborn’s eyes – the structures of the retina that perceive colour – haven’t matured enough to perceive the values and intensities of red, blue, pink, yellow, purple and green. Black and white are the easiest for babies to perceive and interest in these starkly contrasting colours will pave the way for your baby’s brain development. These infant stimulation flash cards will help calm and soothe your baby as well as increase concentration skills, enhance natural curiosity, and stimulate the creation of brain cell connections.
Choose your best image and e-mail us the image. We will do all the sizing of the image to ensure that it will be accepted.
