Both Raquel and her husband have ‘working hands’. For years they both had trouble with dry and broken skin as a result of repeated hand washing with commercially produced soap. Raquel slowly came around to the idea of making soap by herself, using only natural ingredients, at home in her kitchen. With the discovery that she could make use of the properties derived from the flowers and herbs that grow in their garden, Raquel quickly became fascinated with the world of soapmaking.
