Panama Hats by Majesa - Folding Cuenca 3/5 Ivory

The most classic of all Panamas', the Folder Panama (often referred to as Colonial) in a Cuenca/herringbone weave has a distinct crease in the centre, allowing it to roll with maximum ease and retain its shape, so is ideal for frequent travel. This is the most timeless style, being historically associated with the likes of Theodore Roosevelt and Winston Churchill.

These are more expensive in comparison to others due to the additional work the weavers are required to carry out to make these beautiful hats.

Supplied with folding instructions - Travelling tube included.

Available Colours: Ivory.

Measurements: Brim size (approx) = 6.5cm / 2½ in Crown height (approx) = 11cm / 4¼ in. Multiple sizes are available.

Looking After Your Panama Hat:

  • Avoid getting it wet or rained on, as it will lose shape.
  • To preserve, avoid crushing or scrunching the hat, as it may break natural fibres.
  • Do not fold this Panama hat.

Cleaning And Reshaping Your Panama Hat:

  • Firstly, remove any dirt with a dry cloth from the Panama hat.
  • If there are more stubborn sections, use a warm damp cloth or facial wipe to gently remove the remainder.
  • Avoid any unnecessary rubbing as this may cause damage to the natural fibres on the Panama hat.
  • Steam on a low setting to reshape a hat that may have lost some shape, then gently dry it with a hairdryer.
  • The brim can be reshaped by placing a damp cloth on the hat, and iron steaming on a low setting. The iron should never come in direct contact with the natural fibres of the Panama hat.
  • Avoid all solvents, soap, or cleaning agents.

This is a Genuine Panama Hat.

Handwoven in Ecuador.
